Construction and Transfer of Bucketline Dredges
The three recent international dredge transfer are:-
| 1. Petaling D7 Dredge This is a 6000 tones bucketline dredge fitted with 24 cu ft (680 litres) buckets. The rated annual throughput is 7,000,000 cu m. The treatment plant was converted from a tin to rutile recovery plant. The dredge (Pet D7) was transferred from Malaysia to Sierra Leone. |

| 2. Bemban Dredge (P T Koba Tin) This is a 6600 tones bucketline dredge fitted with 24 cu ft (680 litres) buckets and digs to a maximum depth of 150 ft (46 m). The rated annual throughput is 7,000,000 cu m. The dredge was dismantled in Malaysia and re-erected at the mining site at Bangka Island in Indonesia. |

| 3. Merapin Dredge (P T Koba Tin) This is a 6100 tones bucketline dredge equipped with 24 cu ft (680 litres) buckets and digs to a maximum depth of 150 ft (46 m). The rated annual throughput is 7,000,000 cu m. The dredge was reconstructed in Malaysia and towed to Bangka Island, Indonesia. |
